members. Our board-certified pulmonologists are specialists who diagnose,
treat, and manage lung conditions and diseases. Through their medical
expertise, you’ll be able to breathe more easily.
Pulmonologist services include the following, among others:
- Breathing treatments
- Disease management and education
- Evaluation for home oxygen
- Sleep studies
Should I see a respiratory care specialist or pulmonologist?
You may wonder if your breathing condition is temporary and will go away on its own, as is usually the case for conditions such as bronchitis or the flu. Examples of severe lung diseases include asthma, pneumonia, emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and lung cancer. Whether you have an acute or chronic condition, our pulmonologists will create a personalized treatment plan to improve your health and quality of life.
What is pulmonary rehabilitation?
Pulmonary rehabilitation includes a personalized exercise and education program to teach you about your lungs and how to manage your condition. Your rehabilitation specialist will teach you how to do exercises at an appropriate pace without the danger of excessive fatigue or extreme shortness of breath. You’ll become stronger gradually by exercising your lungs, which in turn increases your fitness level and improves your physical strength and stamina.
